A graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and holding an MBA from NYU in both Finance and International Business, John Rosenbaum brings to the firm a wealth of knowledge of experience in both law and business in a rare combination of disciplines rendering him especially capable of analyzing business quandaries and providing solutions.
After graduating cum laude from the University of San Francisco School of Law where he was Editor of the U.S.F. Law Review, John served as Law Clerk to the Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California. There, he prepared bench memoranda for the Court and assisted the Court in conducting jury trials, drafting legal opinions and managing complex litigation, including commercial, securities, patent, civil rights and criminal cases.
As a corporate lawyer with White & Case LLP, one of the preeminent firms in the world, John was charged with responsibility for significant and complex transactions. Among his achievements, John—
Prior to attending law school as Assistant Chief Financial Officer for the American Express Company's Investment and Insurance Services Group, John managed financial and regulatory issues related to broker dealer, insurance and thrift operating licenses; led the corporate strategy team in Japan that developed the long range plan for the rollout of American Express Card in Japan and Lehman Brothers' entry into the U.S. government bond market in Japan; and on behalf of Lehman Brothers, negotiated with the Japanese Ministry of Finance for one of the first foreign purchases of a seat on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
John is a member of the Bars of New York and California, and is counsel to the firm.
